The quality of the overall experience and amount of content provided in these titles shows the love and passion that went into their development. CAPCOMs recent releases, specifically RE7 and RE2s remake, represent the best we have seen from this franchise in years. While the company announced Resident Evil Village DLC was in development in June 2021, information regarding the potential DLC content has been scarce. Resident Evil is one of my all-time favorite video game series, as Im sure it is many of yours. The most recent entry, Resident Evil Village, has sold approximately 5.7 million units as of February 2022.Ĭapcom has plans to release DLC for Resident Evil Village. For example, Resident Evil 7 has sold over 10 million units worldwide since its January 2017 release.

However, the Resident Evil series has recently seen a resurgence.
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis sold roughly 3.5 million units during its lifetime. That said, the remake has well surpassed the amount of total copies shipped for the original release of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. It appears as though the remake continues to sell, albeit far slower than other recent entries in the series. In April 2020, Capcom revealed that worldwide sales for the Resident Evil 3 remake had surpassed 2 million copies just five days after its release. The developer also thanked those who have continued to support the Resident Evil series. The sales figure was announced through the official Japanese Resident Evil Twitter account. Elsewhere, God of War Ragnarok may still slip to 2023 according to the franchise’s creator David Jaffe.Capcom announced sales for the Resident Evil 3 remake have surpassed 5 million copies worldwide. In other news, the PS5 upgrades to Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard are available today. Originally thought to be releasing alongside Village in May 2021, Re:Verse was delayed after a variety of issues during the game’s open beta. Finally, Resident Evil Re:Verse will finally open its doors to players on October 28. The DLC will also be part of the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition which can be purchased on the same day. Which I did but one thing that hasnt been added to my order is the costume dlc for Jill and Carlos usually best. The Winter’s Expansion DLC will be released on October 28. I received an email from Best Buy that my order for Resident Evil 3 remake will soon start shipping and Ill be charged and i need to make sure all my information is correct. There will be new stages, too, that promise to “fuel up” the mode and increase the focus on “the exhilarating feeling of defeating relentless hordes of enemies.” In the third part of the DLC update, a third-person mode will be introduced to the game’s main campaign. There’s also new Additional Orders content coming to the game’s The Mercenaries mode that introduces several new characters including Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and Alcina Dimitrescu.
